We at MorganWolf Press are honored that you are considering sharing your work with us. We seek thoughtful, imaginative writing unafraid of softness, strangeness, or truth. We are a publishing company focused on underrepresented voices. Please read the guidelines below before submitting.

We are currently open to submissions in the following categories:

• Fiction (short stories, flash fiction, imaginative memoirs)

• Creative nonfiction

• Poetry

• Memoirs of lived experience within disability or LGBTQIA+ communities.

• Hybrid or experimental work​

 

We are especially interested in voices often underrepresented in publishing, including writers from the disability and queer communities. 

 

​We gravitate towards work which is:

• Lyrical, eerie, whimsical, and/or intimate

• Emotionally honest and thoughtfully crafted

• Curious about the world and others

• Self-reflective 

*This is not a requirement. Strong writing will always come first.

SUBMISSION FORMAT

• Submissions must be in .doc, .docx, or .pdf format

• Please use a readable font (12 pt preferred)

• Double-spaced for prose; poetry may be single-spaced

• Include page numbers where applicable

Your name should not appear in the manuscript itself unless otherwise specified (for review purposes.)

LENGTH GUIDELINES 

• Flash fiction: up to 1,000 words

• Short fiction/CNF (Creative Non-Fiction): up to 6,000 words

• Poetry: up to 5 poems or 10 pages total

• Other works of varying lengths to be reviewed for approval.

*If your work falls slightly outside these limits, you are welcome to submit. While these are intended to keep work manageable, they are not strict cut-offs.

*Simultaneous submissions are allowed. If your work is accepted elsewhere, you must notify us promptly so we can withdraw it from further consideration.​

​

*Previously published work will not be accepted, as we prefer unpublished works.

ACCESSIBILITY:

AI-GENERATED MATERIAL

We do not accept AI-generated manuscripts for submission. Submissions should reflect the original creative work of the author.

We recognize some writers may use AI tools as an assistive aid to help with editing formatting, or accessibility. Using AI in this way is acceptable, but the core content and creative vision must be your own work.

RESPONSE TIME:

Our typical response time is currently 4-6 weeks. We appreciate your patience and will make every attempt to respond to each submission.

RIGHTS & PAYMENT

If accepted, we will request:

• First publication rights

• The right to archive the work on our site

• Payment details will be listed on specific calls for submission or anthology pages and included in contracts/agreements.

• OWNERSHIP: Authors retain full copyright to their work. Granting publication rights does not transfer ownership, and any additional use beyond publication, on our site, or in anthologies will require explicit permission from author.

MorganWolf Press respects your privacy. Any personal information you provide through our submission form or via email, including your name, email, and any uploaded files, is collected solely for the purpose of reviewing and managing submissions to our publications.

We do not share your information with third parties without your consent, and all submissions are stored securely. Access to submission materials is limited to our editorial team for evaluation purposes only.
